A standout year for The Live Karaoke Band

Authored on

This post looks back at one of the most memorable years in The Live Karaoke Band story, from major corporate clients and festival appearances to weddings and high-profile private events. It is a snapshot of the range of events the band was trusted to perform at, and why the show continued to build such a strong reputation across the UK.

One of the most talked-about bookings of the year was a private party for Jim Carrey during his time in London filming Kick-Ass 2, with the Thames party boat Erasmus hired for an exclusive celebration with cast members and guests.

There was no let-up during the festive season either, with the band performing for Birmingham FC manager Lee Clark, entertaining more than 3,500 guests at Tobacco Dock for Thomson Reuters, and returning to the Thames for Pepsi’s Christmas party.

Corporate entertainment highlights

The year also reinforced The Live Karaoke Band’s growing reputation in corporate entertainment. Major names including Mars, Microsoft, River Island, RBS WorldPay and EE all chose the band for their events, underlining the appeal of a live karaoke format that combines professional musicianship with audience participation.

Wedding and private event highlights

The band’s reputation for weddings also continued to grow, including an exclusive wedding booking in Chamonix in the south of France immediately after a corporate show for Microsoft. It was one of the many examples of the band travelling wherever needed to deliver a memorable live experience.

Festival appearances and live milestones

The year also included a three-day residency at the Isle of Wight Festival and another return to Rewind Festival, where The Live Karaoke Band had already become a firm favourite. Those appearances helped strengthen the band’s reputation as an interactive live act that works not just in private events, but in front of large public crowds too.

The momentum continued with more high-profile bookings, including a Halloween special for Sky TV in London.
